Find the perfect book! DGPL has three methods book clubs can use to get the books they need.
Librarian-Assisted Holds
An Adult and Teen Services librarian can help gather copies of the selected book on behalf of the book club. Librarians are happy to assist with the selection of a title.
To request librarian-assisted holds:
- Choose a book.
- Fill out the request form below or contact bookclubs@dglibrary.org for assistance.
Place a book club order
Holds By Patrons
Individual book club members may place their own holds by phone, through their online account, in person, or email.
Book Club Bags
The Book Club Bag collection was made possible by funding from the Downers Grove Public Library Foundation through the Lillian Culbertson Restricted Use Gift Fund.
More than 50 ready-to-go Book Club Bags are available for check out. Find titles organized by Fiction and Nonfiction below. Titles that were added within the last year are indicated by an asterisk (*).
