World-renowned artist and Chicago native Robert Natkin studied at the Art Institute of Chicago. His works of abstract expressionism are always named after he paints them. Natkin uses a unique layering technique and an interweaving blend of colors to give a foggy, shrouded effect. Natkin states, "Art should alter our perceptions of the present—the world as we see it—and also color both our past recollections and anticipation of future moments."
