Join the conversation! DGPL is hosting community conversations and listening sessions to hear about issues that patrons care about.
This series is part of an ongoing effort by the library to create spaces for dialogue between community leaders and members. These conversations will help to shape the library's next strategic plan, and will be shared with other community leaders. All are welcome and encouraged to participate.
Listening Session: Policing in Downers Grove

Downers Grove Park District Recreation Center
4500 Belmont Road, Downers Grove
This program is an opportunity for Downers Grove community members to have their voices heard on policing issues. Active listeners, Downers Grove Village Manager Dave Fieldman, Chief of Police Shanon Gillette, and District 99 Superintendent Dr. Hank Thiele, will respond and listen to community members. Panelists are looking forward to listening and learning from attendees.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
DGPL wants to hear your thoughts on diversity, equity, and inclusion to help in the next strategic plan. Participate in a listening session guided by a consultant from RGW Consulting: discuss the needs of the community and how the library can include diversity, equity, and including in its future goals.
