Our staff delivers books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, and Anything Emporium kits to DGPL cardholders who are unable to visit the library due to temporary or permanent health or mobility conditions.

How to Qualify

Downers Grove Public Library cardholders can receive home delivery if they meet the following requirements:

Requestor is

  •  A resident of the Village of Downers Grove
  • Confined to their residence either
    • temporarily: due to illness or accident
    • permanently: due to age, disability, or other mobility issues

Contact homedelivery@dglibrary.org to speak to a staff member about signing up for Home Delivery service.

what to expect

Every 4 weeks, library staff will deliver a bag of new materials to your home and pick up any previously borrowed items.

You may choose your own materials, or, upon request, library staff can help select items based on your interests.
